Where I am:

My name is eugene and I am an artist, musician, writer and mystic. I love roots/beginnings/birth/firsts/creation. I love creativity because it’s about bringing something into existence that has never been experienced before. I love being an artist and talking to artists and creative people because we give birth to or act as midwives to something seeking to be created. Lately I’ve been feeling that another life within me is seeking expression. I believe that being myself is the road to that life so I’ve decided to risk everything on my ideas my dreams and my follies.

I want to experience more freedom, more travel, more art and more money. Something new is pressing on me from the inside pushing me to another level of expression and creativity. “How must I change to get what I want and do what I want?” is the question pushing this transformation. This question is keeping me up at night and leading me to the places where I have to let go of control. It’s, also, making life more interesting and unpredictable. Rilke said it’s about living with the questions so I plan to live with them as they continue to transform me.

Where I’m going:

Italy: Eat gelato and panino. Dig the art. Collaborate with some Italian artists. Learn Italian. Learn to make gelato and panino from Italians. Photograph farmer’s markets there.

Costa Rica: Heard they have some really cool people there and it’s beautiful. Learn Spanish. Maybe the Intel plant there has an outlet store where I can get a computer for cheap.

Also: Produce creative pieces that feature some really good artists that I know. Write: books, articles. Explore ideas for multimedia pieces that use music, dance and spoken word. Keep digging into this creative process and follow where it takes me.
